Hubbel Trading Post
Canyon de Chelly
Canyon de Chelly

We got everything ready to leave Show Low - Drove almost 1/2 mile to the most AWFUL noise from under the hood. We stopped, looked under the hood with the engine running and realized the reservoir holding Power Steering Fluid was EMPTY. We quickly unhooked the pickup (our Lifeboat), drove into Show Low and bought 3 quarts of Dexron 3 as recommended on the container. Drove back, poured about a pint into the reservoir, started the engine and the noise was gone, but Peggy yelled it's running out the bottom. After a little more examination, I got a socket wrench and tightened a clamp on a hose. We cleaned up the mess, started the engine, and everything was good. We re-hooked the picku and drove to Canyon de Chelly, with a stop a the historic Hubbell Indian trading post, and parked at the free campground. Then we went on the south rim drive - wonderful scenery - but we forgot the cameras. We got some pictures this morning on the north rim and drove on to the Ute Mountain Casino RV Park near Cortez, Co. We will be here until Friday, June 20, and plan on much scenic travel. The cameras are in the pickup.
